The Clear Water Revival Nature Pool
There are many possibilities for pool design, but our nature pools, which could be described as swimming ponds, are focused on maximizing the biodiversity and educational value of your pool, and giving a wild feel to the area of your garden or land that hosts this wonderful oasis. They would be cheaper than a more formal design and we can offer self-build kits if you would really like to tackle this yourself and cut costs to the bare minimum.
We offer several options, some of which tie in with our lake and pond services. Options include:
A clay-lined swimming pond
If fed by a small borehole, effectively creating a spring, we can create the ultimate in natural swimming experiences; a clean, clear pool, with no technology (depending on borehole function) and possibly featuring a surrounding wetland or bog garden. Where the water table is high this option can be extremely economical, especially if fed by an artesian system (water rises by itself).
Lo-tech or technology free swimming ponds
Incorporating a natural rubber liner, and focusing on balancing the ponds ecosystem so it really emulates nature, we can create a pool for the real wildlife enthusiast or water gardener. This might range from a technology free pool to one where the basic design of the pool remains the same as a natural swimming pool, but more attention is given to water gardening and habitat value. We will use our experience to develop a beautiful range of plants that will bloom into many colours, give your pool that wild and secluded feel, and create the feeling of swimming in a natural spring. This will provide habitats for many rare and interesting animals and plants. Remember that the term swimming pond does not mean there will be a muddy bottom to this pool, it will still remain free of silt and the water will be crystal clear. This type of design would be an excellent inclusion into a water garden, which Clear Water Revival also specializes in.
