Keeping your pool cover clean is just as important and regular servicing. Pool cover fabric will start to show signs of age and wear as a result of exposure to the elements, and if you notice signs of wear and tear such as the fabric becoming brittle, stiff or some cracked areas then it’s time to replace the fabric.

One of the best ways to ensure you get as much as you can out for your pool cover is to maintain a regular cleaning routine.

Remove debris regularly – pool covers prevent leaves and debris from getting into your pool, but all these bits and bobs end up ON your pool cover, so once dry you’ll need to remove it with a leaf blower or leaf rake and then hose the cover off with water.

If the cover is needs a scrub then use a soft brush to scrub away any excess dirt.

We would encourage you to add your cover to your annual maintenance check to ensure it gets a good clean and a detailed system inspection so any issues can be dealt with before they become a bigger problem.
