Your Natural Swimming Pool Design: The Process

Designing your natural swimming pool is an exciting collaborative process during which we work with you to capture the aesthetic and practical requirements of your natural swimming pool.

The Natural Swimming Pool Design Process

There are several stages in the design process.  Each step enables us to fine tune your swimming pool design and work with you to meet your budgetary, lifestyle and design requirements.

At the end of the design process you will have a detailed set of technical drawings from which your natural swimming pool can be constructed.

More information about the steps in the natural swimming pool design process can be found below and in our Natural Pool Design Process Infographic.

Step 1: Natural swimming pool design consultation

The design consultation is the first step in creating your natural swimming pool.

During this stage we ask you to complete our online design questionnaire so that we can capture your initial requirements.  A member of our design team will then contact you via the phone to chat through your project.

This design consultation stage ensures that our design teams can start to gauge the type of project you have and the style of pool you are looking for.

Step 2: Site Visit & Topographical Survey

Once the information gathering consultation stage is complete, we will arrange a site visit.  Visiting you on site is a great chance for you to meet us and for us to show you examples of our previous projects.

During our visit we will review your proposed natural swimming pool site and discuss design options and budgets.  Our designer will often capture your discussed pool design in a sketch during this visit.

If you do not have one, a topographical survey of your site will be carried out during this visit by our designer.  This is necessary to prepare a concept design and estimate for your project.

A site visit by our team is FREE within 50 miles of Bristol and POA for sites further afield.  If you require a topographical survey the cost is £250 + OS mapping fee if needed.

Step 3: Natural Swimming Pool Concept Design

Once we have met you and captured your pool requirements, the next step is to create a concept design like the one above, for your natural swimming pool.

This will be a colour, hand drawn A1 design which will be accompanied by a budgetary quote for building your natural swimming pool.

Following the completion of the concept design a further meeting will be set up with you, either at your home or via a phone call and discussions around the design will take place to ensure that you are happy with the concept design.  Any changes needed will be made until you are happy with your concept design.

Cost of the concept design of your pool will depend on the size and complexity of your project.

Prices generally range from £400-850 and we can provide an accurate cost for this at your site visit.

Step 4: Natural Swimming Pool Detailed Design

Once you are happy with your natural swimming pool concept design, our team will produce detailed CAD design and construction schematics for your natural swimming pool.

Our detailed design package will provide you with construction sections & CAD plan view……everything you need to ensure you are getting what you want from your pool.

We will also provide a firm price for the works needed to build your natural swimming pool.

The cost for detailed design is £45 an hour and usually costs around £1,500 – £2,000 depending on project size and complexity.
